BUG REPORT: During a restore, warnings from bpbrm may be displayed which include a substring similar to "Unrecognized -J string spsrestoreoptions=0." These messages are spurious and may safely be ignored.

Overview:
During a restore, warning messages are sometimes seen within the Detailed Status tab of restore jobs.

Despite the warning, restores are completed successfully.

Additionally, messages similar to the following may be found in the bpbrm log:
09:10:34.845 [5376.1172] <8> bpbrm handle_restore: expected start message from <hostname>; read: Unrecognized -J string spsrestoreoptions=0

13:23:33.425 [9412.12008] <4> db_error_add_to_file: expected start message from <hostname>; read: Unrecognized -J string spsrestoreoptions=0

Resolution:
These messages are spurious and may safely be ignored.

Workaround:
There is currently no workaround.

ETA of Fix:
Symantec Corporation has acknowledged that the above mentioned issue (Etrack 1538506) is present in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned at the end of this article. Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.  

Symantec Corporation currently plans to address this issue in a future release update to the current version of the software.  Please be sure to refer back to this document periodically as any changes to the status of the issue will be reflected here.  A link to the patch or hotfix download will be added to this document when it becomes available.
