Details:
Solution :
1. Check the Event Viewer Log
for errors pertaining to VSS.
2. Examine the Volume Shadow Copy
Service (VSS) writer status by running the command VSSADMIN LIST WRITERS.
Review the output and ensure that the writers are all showing a State of "[1]
Stable" and that Last Error is showing "No error."
Note: In
most cases rebooting the server has resolved such issues, in case the issue is
unresolved and the Writer continues to show failed status, proceed to step 3
.
