alert warning is also displayed in the Backup Exec console under the Alerts tab
(Figure 2).

EXPLAINATION:1. The tape cartridge that is being
used for backup job is defective.
2. The tape cartridge is very old
/ worn out.
ACTION REQUIRED:Discard the old tape and use
another known good tape cartridge which is recommended by the hardware
manufacturer for the backup job. Run a quick erase on the tape first, attempt to
run another backup, and if the alert still occurs, contact the hardware
manufacturer of the tape device for further assistance.
