VMware redirection fails with the following error "Final error: 0xe000848c - Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again." Final error category: Resource Errors
Details:
Solution:1. Open the restore window and select the
data which needs to be restored. In this example, it will be from the ESX
server within the selection list.
2. Make sure the account used for the
restore is the same as it was at the time of backups by verifying it under
resource credentials
3. Select
VMware Virtual infrastructure Tab under
settings
and clear the check box
"ADD RESTORED VIRTUAL MACHINES TO THE VIRTUAL CENTER
OR ESX SERVER
INVENTORY"
4.
Specify the path on a NTFS volume that is local to the
selected server for temporary storage of the restore data (
C:Temp as
mentioned in the above image).
5. Run the restore
again.
