6.x Release Update Availability Document:NetBackup
Agents/Options are required to be at the same level as the NetBackup client
and/or server packages. For example, a UNIX client running Lotus Notes
should be updated with the NetBackup 6.5.3 client package
(
NB_CLT_6.5.3.tar) and the 6.5.3 Lotus Notes update
(
NB_LOT_6.5.3.tar). Occasionally, some Agents/Options are not
updated with new code and are not distributed with a release update. These
situations require the Agent/Option to fall back to the latest patch available
if it is not available for the current release update. For example, a UNIX
client running Oracle should be updated with the NetBackup 6.5.3 client package
(
NB_CLT_6.5.3.tar), but since there is no Oracle Agent update for 6.5.3,
the 6.5.2 Oracle Agent update (
NB_ORA_6.5.2.tar) is to be
applied.
The following TechNote indicates what packages are

in order to move to the 6.5.3 level.
