How to Backup Hyper-V in a clustered
environment
Hyper-V application is not clustered however the
guest machines hosted by Hyper-V are in a cluster.
Backup Exec needs Hyper-V
application running to query the guest machines hence should
be backed up from the active node.
- If
the guest machines are clustered and hosted by Hyper-V Backup Exec backs up from
the active node
- Figure
1 shows the selection list of guests machines clustered and hosted by
Hyper-V

Note: Virtual Node will not display the virtual machines in the
