Details:
After a successful restore of an Exchange mailbox using
Granular Restore Technology (GRT), plain text format and HTML format emails are
restored with a blank body.
Workaround:
Ensure that
Hotfix 304392 for Backup Exec for Windows Servers 12.0 has been applied on the
Backup Exec server and that the Remote Agent has been re-pushed to the Exchange
server (See Related Documents section for more information about the
hotfix.)
If the issue
still persists, implement one or more of the following workarounds:
- Increase
the Retention time for Deleted Items on the mailbox/public folder stores.
- If
the recovery of a plain text message or HTML message is needed, a Recovery
Storage Group can be created, and the message can be retrieved using the Exmerge
utility (See related
Documents)
Run
Legacy Mailbox/Public Folder backups. (For Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003
only)
Resolution:
This issue has
been resolved by way of a hotfix in Backup Exec for Windows Servers version 12.0
and in Backup Exec for Windows Servers version 12.5. For more details please
