Removing Offline Vault Components from the Client Machine
There are two main components that need to be removed from the client. Firstly all the files that the Offline Vault is comprised of and secondly the IPM.Enterprisevault.offlinevault hidden message.

Removing the Hidden Message
Enterprise Vault 5 and 6
There are a number of tools that allow access to the associated contents table and therefore the ability to view and delete hidden messages. For the purpose of this article I will describe how to use Microsoft's MFCMAPI tool to accomplish this task. This tool is freely available from the Microsoft download center.
This tool can be used from any machine as long as the user logged into that machine has permissions to, and an outlook profile for, the mailbox you wish to access.
1. Start the tool by double-clicking on the mfcmapi.exe file.
2. From the tool bar select session and Logon and Display stores.
3. Choose the profile for the mailbox you wish to access.
4. In the Display Name column find the entry Mailbox- User's Name highlight and double-click this entry.
5. In the left-hand pane expand Root Container then expand Top of information store and highlight the Inbox.
6. From the toolbar select actions "open associated contents table" a list of all hidden messages will be listed.
7. Scroll to the right and find the  Message Class column. Expand this column if needed.
8. Now look for the IPM.Enterprisevault.offlinevault entry. Right-click on this entry and select delete item.
9. Close Mfcmapi.
Enterprise Vault 7
Delete the IPM.EnterpriseVault.Filter.OfflineVault hidden message by following the steps in the Related Documents article 287572.
Enterprise Vault 7.0 SP1 and higher
1. On the computer where Offline Vault needs to be removed, create a DWORD registry value called RemoveOfflineVault in the following location:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER
     \Software
      \KVS
       \Enterprise Vault
        \Client
2. Give RemoveOfflineVault
3. Value of 1.
4. Restart Outlook.
Remove the RemoveOfflineVault registry value when it is no longer needed. It is not possible to enable Offline Vault if this registry value exists.
It is important to note that when using Outlook Cache mode the changes that are made do not immediately synchronize to the "Cached Version" of Outlook on the local machine. It may take some time for this synchronization to occur and until it has the Outlook Client will continue to behave as though Offline Vault is enabled.
