Attempt to restore data from a manually recreated Distributed File System Replication (DFSR) group fails with the error: "A failure occurred querying the Writer status"

Details:
The following errors are reported in the Job log:

Writer Name: Distributed File System Replication, Writer ID: {2707761B-2324-473D-88EB-EB007A359533}, Last error: 0x800423f3, State: 0013.

The Event Viewer reports the following:

Backup Exec Alert: Job Failed
(Server: "BROKENCATALINA8") (Job: "Restore 00022") Restore 00022 -- The job failed with the following error: A failure occurred querying the Writer status.

Cause:

The old DFSR data cannot be restored directly in this manner because the replication components are unique.

Resolution:

To restore data to a manually recreated DFSR group, restore the domain controller's System State to restore the configuration data before restoring the old DFSR data.
