This bundle patch BU_JE_751_010 is the Symantec Indepth for J2EE version 7.5.1 Maintenance and Platform Support Pack, May 2007 release. It contains the following patches:
• JE_JEFP_751_007
• JE_JECOL_751_008
• JE_INFP_751_009_STAGING
This bundle patch contains the following enhancements:
• Adds support to Indepth for J2EE to monitor:
o WebSphere 6.1
o JES 3

For the latest information on platform and products support, refer to the Symantec i3 version 7.5.1 Support Matrix (  http://support.veritas.com/docs/283453 ).
This bundle patch fixes the following issues:
• Indepth for J2EE Collector:
o Incident 1035459 - Fixes a problem when using -javaagent parameter for startup.
o Incident 1033598 - The TACTrimLoaderImpl class has a log message printing at ERROR but should be VERBOSE.
o Incident 1033608 - Provide optional means of reporting dynamically-retrieved class name vs. actual (static) class name.
o Incident 854718 - TAC Correlation not working with PeopleSoft 8.46.
o Incident 854692 - After upgrading from 7.1 to 7.5.1, CPU & GC 's data are wrong on HPUX.
o Incident 1033619 - Jikes.Optimization warnings in the JVM's STDERR logs.
o Incident 917363 - JE TAC files have null session ids for all of the activities, thus the Indepth for Web and Indepth for J2EE correlation fails.
o Incident 919194 - HTTP instrumentation not aggregated properly.
• Indepth for J2EE FocalPoint:
o Incident 1033640 - Add JVM Grouping functionality to Dashboard
o Incident 1033638 - Performance improvements for the GUI.

Installation instructions
1. Download and save the patch self extract file.
2. Run the patch self extract zip file and extract all files that are inside.
3. Open the Symantec i3 AdminPoint.
4. Go to the Patches View.
5. Choose the option Apply Patch.
6. Browse to the location to which you unzipped the patch.
7. Select and install the patch via the patch installation screens.  
Pre installation tasks are required
Stop all Application Server Java Virtual Machines monitored by Indepth for J2EE on the server to be patched.
Post installation tasks
This patch includes a new set of classes that should be ignored during instrumentation. The contents of the NewIgnores.xml file, defined below, should be inserted into the Ignore.xml file. Refer to the comment section of NewIgnores.xml for further instructions.

Restart all Application Server Java Virtual Machines monitored by Indepth for J2EE (the one you previously stopped).
