Symantec i3 (tm) 7.5.1 - IN_FPAGS_75x_009
Details:
This patch is part of the Symantec i3 infrastructure version 7.5.1 MP May 2007 release.
This patch contains the following enhancements:
• Adds support for:
o Installing Performance Warehouse on Oracle versions 9.2.0.8, 10.1.0.5, and 10.2.0.3.
This patch should be applied to the Symantec i3 FocalPoint server during the Symantec i3 Framework installation as follows:
§ Complete the steps for the installation of the Symantec i3 FocalPoint, but do not install Performance Warehouse.
§ Click Finish and close the browser window after installing Symantec i3 FocalPoint.
§ Open AdminPoint in a new browser window and install this patch.
After applying this patch, open the Agent Installer from AdminPoint and continue with the installation steps for the Performance Warehouse Framework.


Note

If your Symantec i3 Performance Warehouse is already installed, you do not need to install this patch to upgrade it to the Oracle 9.2.0.8/10.1.0.5/10.2.0.3 version. Only apply this patch if you receive an error message similar to the following while trying to install Performance Warehouse:
Message 17307 - Database version 9.2.0.8 is not supported for the Performance Warehouse. The supported versions are: 9.2.0.7, 9.2.0.6, 9.2.0.5, 9.2.0.4.

Obsolete

This patch is a cumulative patch for the Symantec i3 infrastructure and contains the support enhancements from patch IN_FPAGS_750_005 (  http://support.veritas.com/docs/286778 ) which added support for installing Performance Warehouse on Oracle versions 9.2.0.8 and 10.1.0.5, therefore making that patch obsolete.
Installation instructions
1. Download and save the patch self extract file.
2. Run the patch self extract zip file and extract all files that are inside.
3. Open the Symantec i3 AdminPoint.
4. Go to the Patches View.
5. Choose the option Apply Patch.
6. Browse to the location to which you unzipped the patch.
7. Select and install the patch via the patch installation screens.
No pre installation tasks are required

Post installation tasks
Install Performance Warehouse on the Oracle database.
