After redirecting the restore of placeholders with Backup Exec 10.0.5520 (HF 10), 10.0.5629, 11.0.6235, or 11.0.7170 the placeholders do not function.
Details:
This is a known issue with Backup Exec 10.0.5520 (HF 10) ,
10.0.5629, 11.0.6235, and 11.0.7170. This issue was introduced by Hotfix 10 for
Backup Exec 10.0.5520. This was put in place to prevent an error when
redirecting mount points and reparse tags. In the case of Enterprise Vault, this
prevents the functioning of Enterprise Vault Placeholders which have been
restored to a redirected location.
Workaround:Restoration of
the placeholders to the original location allows for proper functioning of the
placeholders.
