A Backup Exec 11d Synthetic Full or Incremental backup operation could miss some files and folders with double-byte count properties.
Details:
A Synthetic Incremental or Full Backup might miss some
files and folders with double-byte count properties when backed up using the
Backup Exec for Windows Synthetic Backup function.
This problem is
evidenced by comparing the total byte sizes of a baseline or previous full
synthetic backup with the last full Synthetic backup. The last full Synthetic
backup will have a lower byte count then the baseline or previous full Synthetic
backup.
This issue has been resolved by applying the hotfix for the
appropriate version listed in the Related Documents section of this
TechNote.
