How to delete hidden messages from Outlook on the client in Enterprise Vault (tm) 7.0 and above.
Details:
Overview:
A registry value may be added on the
client machine to allow hidden messages to be deleted from within Outlook, with
the Enterprise Vault (EV) Add-in Installed, without installing third-party
software.
Note: Prior to Enterprise Vault (EV) 7.0, in order to
remove the hidden message (IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.Settings) from the mailbox,
it was necessary to use a 3rd party MAPI editor to locate and remove the object
(MFCMapi) or use Enterprise Vault Policy Manager (EVPM) to perform a "zap" of
the message. (See Related
Documents)

1. Close
Outlook.

modifications should only be carried-out by persons experienced in the use of
the registry editor application. It is recommended that a complete backup of the
registry and workstation be made prior to making any registry
