I. DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS

Download instructions:
1) Download the NB_BAC_50_7_M.winnt.intel_<6 digit number>.exe file
  into a temporary directory.

  where <6 digit number> is an internal tracking identifier

2) Extract the NB_BAC_50_7_M.winnt.intel_<6 digit number>.exe
  by double-clicking on it.

       This will create a number of files that include:
       README.NT
       and
       Veritas Authentication Service 4.1.2.7 Patch.msi

Installation steps:

1) Right click on the msi file:  

  Veritas Authentication Service 4.1.2.7 Patch.msi

2) Click Install.

Description:  
   Buffer overflow areas have been identified and corrected in daemons running
   on Veritas NetBackup master, media, and client servers.  Successful access
   to a vulnerable Veritas NetBackup server and the ability to successfully
   execute arbitrary code could potentially result in unauthorized access with
   elevated privilege on a system.
