Unable to cancel an active job. The message "The job was canceled by user Recovery" is received and the job continues to run even though the user interface shows the job is canceled.

Details:
This issue is encountered when an active job is canceled either by a user, or by an automatic alert response (configured to respond with 'cancel') and the job continues to run.
Upon canceling the running job, an alert stating 'The job was canceled by user Recovery.' is received: (Figure 1)
Figure 1

The job status will then show up in the Job History pane of the Job Monitor screen as 'Canceled' (Figure 2)
Figure 2

The job itself will continue to run. The data backup continues and in the case of media alerts, they continue to be displayed.  If the running job completes successfully it will show the completion status. (Figure 3)
Figure 3

In the case of a job that is canceled during a media request, the media request alerts will continue to be displayed as if the job were not canceled.
This issue has been resolved for Backup Exec for Windows Servers 10.0 and 10.1 (10d).  See the Related Documents section below for HotFix information.
