If the 32 bit version of SQL 2005 is installed on an x64 system, and clustered, the icon will not be seen in Backup Exec for Windows Servers under the virtual server.
Details:
If a clustered 32 bit version of SQL 2005 is installed on an x64 system, the icon will not be seen in Backup Exec for Windows Servers under the virtual server.
The server may be visible under the active node, however, it will be inaccessible.
A beremote log shows:
SQL2_SurrogateCalling - Sorry, not cluster OK.
This indicates that Backup Exec is unable to recognize that the SQL is clustered.
This issue has been resolved in Hotfix 37 for Backup Exec 10.1.5629
