This Service Pack can only be
applied to the following versions of Backup Exec Continuous Protection
Servers:
- Backup
Exec Continuous Protection Server 10.1.325.6301
- Backup
Exec Continuous Protection Server 10.1.326.1401
- Backup
Exec Continuous Protection Server
10.1.326.2501
This hotfix requires an
existing installation of Backup Exec Continuous Protection Server and is not a
self-contained version of Backup Exec Continuous Protection Server. This hotfix
includes all customer and internally initiated updates since the initial product
release, making this hotfix cumulative of all previous service packs and
hotfixes. There is no need to remove any previous updates before installing this
hotfix.

This Hotfix resolves the
following issues:

How to install this
Hotfix:
Symantec recommends that you
backup your systems before proceeding.
1. Close Backup Exec Continuous
Protection Server if open.
2. Download this hotfix from the
Download Now link at the bottom of this TechFile.
3. Starting with the computer
hosting the Backup Exec Continuous Protection Management Service, install this
hotfix on each system running Backup Exec Continuous Protection
Server.
4. Even if a prompt requesting a
reboot does not appear in the display, a reboot is required.
Installation Notes:
This hotfix will apply updates
to:
1. All installed Backup Exec
Continuous Protection Server components.
2. The installed 32-bit Backup
Exec Remote Agent for Windows Servers.
3. The installed Extended 64-bit
(x64) Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Server.
If the CPS Administration
console is installed:
1. This hotfix will update the
CPS components that are deployed during a push-install of the CPA.
2. This hotfix will update the
32-bit Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Servers components that are deployed
during a push-install of the CPA.
3. This hotfix WILL NOT update
the Extended 64-bit (x64) Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Servers
components that are deployed during a push-install of the CPA. This means that
in order to update an x64 server running the CPA and the x64 Backup Exec Remote
Agent for Windows Servers this hotfix should be applied directly to those x64
servers.
How to uninstall this
hotfix:
Once this hotfix has been installed, it
cannot be uninstalled without uninstalling the entire Backup Exec Continuous
Protection Server application.
