Details:
This error will
occur if any of the SharePoint Portal Server Farm databases reside within a
named instance of SQL 2000.
Recommended
workarounds are:
1.
Utilize the SharePoint Portal Server Backup and Restore utility provided with
SharePoint.
2.
Move the SharePoint Portal Server databases to a default instance of SQL 2000.
Solution:
This issue has
been resolved in Service Pack 3 for Backup Exec 10d and the patch is included in
each more recent service pack and version of Backup Exec.
