Symantec Indepth (tm) for Web 7.5 - Post action items for client side monitoring (instrumentation)

Details:

Once the Web AppTier Collector agents have been installed, post installation tasks may be required if you selected Manual instrumentation. Manual instrumentation is recommended if you want to instrument Web pages using a different user, or if you want to perform batch instrumentation for automatic deployment.

Tasks for Manual Instrumentation

1. On UNIX:

Set execute permission to:

<exec_name>_install_<name_inc>.sh

2. Run the following script from the <i3_root> directory:

On Windows:<exec_name>_install_<name_inc>.bat

On UNIX: <exec_name>_install_<name_inc>.sh

where:

<exec_name> is the batch file (Windows) or shell script (UNIX or Linux) to be executed after the installation is finished and

<name_inc> is the name of the instance to install.
