Configuring an Oracle database under VERITAS Cluster Server (tm) control for VERITAS Storage Foundation (tm) 4.0 Maintenance Pack 1 (MP1) Oracle RAC on AIX.

Details:
When a cluster runs an Oracle 10g (10.1.0.3) database that has been created by the Oracle Database Creation Assistant (DBCA), shutting down or rebooting one node may kill the database instances on other nodes. This problem is known to occur on Oracle 10g (10.1.0.3) when Cluster Ready Service (CRS) control of the database is disabled.
Resolution:
1. Create the database using manual scripts without DBCA and do not configure database in CRS control.
2. The problem should be fixed in Oracle 10.1.0.4. Apply 10.1.0.4 patch set.
