Release Notes for VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 for Windows Servers revision 4691 - Service Pack 1

Details:
Service Pack 1 contains previously released hotfixes for Backup Exec 9.1 for Windows Servers revision 4691. A complete list of hotfixes contained in this service pack are listed below:

Important Note:  HotFix 1 for Backup Exec 9.1 for Windows Servers revision 4691 is not included in this Service Pack. HotFix 1 enables support for the Backup Exec Desktop and Laptop Option.  To enable support for the Desktop and Laptop Option, install HotFix 1 from http://support.veritas.com/docs/264677 .

8Small Business ServerEntering a Small Business Server (SBS) Library Expansion Option (LEO) serial number during the Backup Exec installation does not enable support for additional robotic library drives  
9Advanced Open File OptionAfter installing Hotfix 6, the Advanced Open File Option cannot be installed 
11Multiple IssuesA. Event ID 34322 appears in the Application Log of the Event Viewer every 6 hours for no apparent reason. The error message in the Event is "Access to catalog file C\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\Catalogs\{XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX}.U01 failed. Reason: Not enough storage is available to process this command."  
B. Backing up a remote computer returns the error "Unable to attach" in the job log if there is a Global Exclude for the remote computer. The Remote Agent debug log reports "LogonUser failed: The parameter is incorrect.". The Backup Exec media server debug log reports "ERROR: Error: Connection has not been authorized" 
C. On a domain controller with a long domain name, the UNC path to Sysvol is not being handled correctly during backup. The error message reported is "A failure occurred reading an object. WARNING: "Shadow?Copy?Components\System?State\SYSVOL\SYSVOL\XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" is a corrupt file. This file cannot verify. Database or database element is corrupt" 
12NetWareCanceling a backup job of a remote Windows computer running the Remote Agent for Windows Server (RAWS) from Backup Exec for NetWare fails and the job hangs 
14Intelligent Disaster Recovery/NetWare Job LogsA. If the Backup Exec Intelligent Disaster Recovery (IDR) option is installed and enabled, a backup of the Windows System State modifies the Services file 1
B. After performing a local IDR of a computer in a Microsoft cluster, attempting to log on to Windows produces the error '0x80004005'. This issue only occurs when IDR "Assisted" or "Manual" mode was selected when performing the IDR. 1
C. When performing an IDR using a bootable tape drive, the Sysvol directory is not restored and the following error is reported: "Unable to restore the directory /system state/sysvol/sysvol"1
D. When performing an IDR of a Japanese language Windows operating system, "BEDRWIZ.EXE" will generate an application error. This only occurs when the computer has dynamic disks and when manually using Copyidr.cmd to perform the IDR.1
E. After performing an IDR of a local computer, the "Startup Type" of some services revert back to their default setting1
F. When viewing the Backup Exec Job Log that contains a backup of a NetWare server, the Job Log generates the error 'Load XML failed"  
15Shared Storage OptionDevice reservation conflict occurring when using the Shared Storage Option (SSO), large robotic library mulitple drive configuration 
17 Alert and NotificationCatalog errors occur every 6 hours with no apparent cause and fill the Alert History and ExecView with alerts

1. After the service pack is installed, Intelligent Disaster Recovery (IDR) bootable media must be recreated.
