The System State, admin shares, and user shares of a remote Windows 2000, 2003, and 2008 systems are unavailable for selection.
Details:
When creating a backup job or selection list of a remote
Windows 2000/2003 system, the System State, admin shares, and user shares appear
greyed out (Figure 1).

To resolve
this issue, do the following:
For System State and admin shares:
1. Enter a valid license number
for Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Servers on the media server
2. Ensure that the Backup Exec
Remote Agent for Windows Servers running on the remote system is neither old nor
incompatible
Note: The version of
Backup Exec server and Remote Agent should be the same.
For user-defined shares:
Go to Tools | Options |
Network, and select the Enable selection of user shares option
