How to verify the SCSIChanger driver has started if Backup Exec is unable to configure an autoloader

Details:
To manually start and stop the SCSI Changer driver in Microsoft Windows 2000, perform the following:

1.  Right-click My Computer and select Properties
2.  Select the Hardware tab and click Device Manager. This displays the Device Manager window (Figure 1).

3.  This displays the hierarchy of Non-Plug and Play Drivers  (Figure 2)

4. Select View | Show hidden devices (Figure 3)

5.  Expand the Non-Plug and Play Drivers tree (Figure 4). The SCSIChanger driver is displayed.

6. Right-click on the SCSIChanger driver and select Properties (Figure 5)

7. The SCSIChanger Properties window is displayed. Select the Driver tab and the status is displayed under the Current Status area. The options to start and stop the SCSIChanger driver are displayed (Figure 6).

8. The option to change the type of startup is also available in the Type listbox (Figure 6)
