How to enable BIOS Multiple LUN (Logical Unit Number) support for an Adaptec SCSI Card
Details:
To enable Multi LUN Support using an Adaptec SCSI card please perform the following steps:
1. During the system boot, when the Adaptec SCSI scan appears, simultaneously hit the <Ctrl> + <A> keys.
2. Select SCSI Disk Utilities. Let the scan run to determine/confirm which Target ID the autoloader/ tape drive(s) is/are on. Hit the Escape Key.
3. Once in the BIOS Options Screen, selected Configure / View Host Adaptor Settings.
4. Select SCSI Device Configuration.
5. One of the last options to enable is called Bios Multiple LUN Support, change this to YES for the SCSI ID that the autoloader/tape drive are attached to.
6. Hit <ESC> and YES to save changes.
7. Reboot.
